Life Saving Victoria has chosen ACA’s customised Tyvek Wristbands for their “Watch Around Water” Campaign. The wristbands, which will be given to parents, are printed with the message “You can ‘t reach me you are too far away” to serve as a reminder for the wearer. Aquatics & Recreation Victoria, Life Saving Victoria and the “Play it Safe by the Water™” campaign have teamed up to deliver the new “Watch Around Water™” program. The “Watch Around Water™” program will help parents play an active part in supervising the safety of their children while they enjoy their local pool. The aim of the program is to encourage parents to actively supervise their children by always being within arms™ reach, never turning their back and always watching what their child is doing. To help with this message, resources (such as posters, pamphlets, etc) have been developed to raise community awareness. One such resource are the colourful “If you can’t™ reach me, you are too far away™” wristbands. Created for all <10year olds to receive on entry into a facility. These wristbands are away of affirming key messages to parents whilst enabling lifeguards to quickly and clearly identify which child requires close supervision from their parent/guardian when in the aquatic area.
Customised Tyvek wristbands are a great way to promote a message or cause. Tyvek wristbands come in a range of different colours and can be customised with messages or logo’s. AAC direction Robert Borg says that “Tyvek wristbands have along been used by concerts and events to easily identify different personnel or customers. Organisation are starting to see the benefits of customised wristbands as they are comfortable and the messages on them are seen and remembered.
