Silicone Wristband Options

Silicone wristbands, after so many years on the market, still remain one of the hottest promotional products around for two very simple reasons: 1. They are incredibly cost effective. and 2. They are indiscriminate and inoffensive – meaning that everyone can wear them/use them and therefore be affected by the promotional message they contain. So, what are your silicone wristband options?

The question remains though as to HOW silicone wristbands should be customised to make best use of the product as a promotional tool. The answer to this is guided very much by the planned usage of the wristband itself, and the message/cause it is promoting.

Charity wristbands

For charities and NFP’s planning to use silicone wristbands as a tool, it is often ideal to customise the wristband subtley, so as not to ‘scream’ the message at the wearer. For this reason, many NFP’s choose to deboss their silicone wristbands – this allows full customisation, but takes the form of the wristband being ‘engraved’ or having the text ‘recessed’ in to the surface.The alternative to this is embossing the wristband, which means have the text raised up.

For both debossed and embossed wristbands, there are no inks involved. The debossed and embossed is what creates the words and message you’d like to promote.

Short term promotion

Custom printing silicone wristbands is ideal for short term promotions. Text can be custom printed on to the wristband in multiple colours allowing for a high quality print and appearance. What must be kept in mind is that printing on to the band is a great way to customise, but that it is not as long lasting as doing an ink infill (below).

Long lasting promotion

When you’d like your message to last as long as possible, and to be viewed clearly from a distance, undertaking a debossed ink infill customisation is the way to go. This means that the wristband is debossed (as above) but then ink is added to the recessed part of the wristband to really make the wording or logo ‘pop’. This is especially effective when using contrasting colours.

Getting funky

Some creative options for silicone wristbands includes the options of adding multi-coloured swirls or marble effects to the colour scheme, or even using multiple colours in a sectional format… these types of wristbands can still be customised as above with your text.

Secret message

Emboss or deboss the inside of the wristband for an additional secret message. This is ideal when you have run out of space on the outside!

Sequential numbering

The ability to add sequential numbering to a silicone wristband means that it become a viable option for a raffle/charity draw, cloak room giveaway or other promotional purpose. Sequential numbers can be debossed or debossed with an ink infill.
