Luggage Tags are used, you may not be surprised to learn, to tag luggage! Generally this will happen as you’re checking in for your flight. Whilst this provides the ability for the airline to scan your bags, it does not make it easier for you to identify them as they come down the luggage belt. The general rule at luggage collection is that everyone has to stand as close to the luggage belt as possible, making sure that you only see your own bag as it literally passes right next to you.
