More About Our Boat Decals & Boat Lettering
Boat decals aren’t just about looks — they help identify your boat and give it a clean, finished feel. Whether it’s a fishing boat, a family runabout, or a work vessel, our decals are made to display names, registration numbers, and logos clearly and neatly.
All decals are printed in-house at our Gold Coast facility. Keeping everything local means better quality control, consistent colours, and real support if you need help along the way.
All decals are printed in-house at our Gold Coast facility. Keeping everything local means better quality control, consistent colours, and real support if you need help along the way.
Our decals are produced using high-quality outdoor vinyl that’s waterproof and UV-rated for up to five years. This makes them suitable for many outdoor applications and general boating use.
However, we can’t guarantee how the decals will perform over extended exposure to saltwater, constant moisture, or heavy movement.
To get the best possible result, surface preparation is important. Before applying your decal, the area should be thoroughly cleaned and wiped down with isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue, polish, or surface treatments that could cause lifting or peeling over time.
We can size decals to suit anything from small watercraft through to larger boats. Names, numbers, and logos can be cut to fit hull sides, transoms, windshields, and other flat or gently curved surfaces.
Every order includes a digital proof so you can check sizing and placement before printing. For curved areas, allowing extra bleed and careful placement will help achieve a cleaner finish.
We recommend including design bleed and kill cuts to ensure perfect edge-to-edge adhesion on complex curves. Want to preview before it’s printed? We include digital proofing with visual rendition—so you’ll know exactly where letters sit before production.

Read Our FAQ On Boat Decals
Are they suitable for saltwater environments?
Yes—our marine-grade vinyl and adhesives resist corrosion, fading, and lifting even in open water.
How long will they last?
With proper preparation and application, decals stay bold and intact for 3–5 years (or longer in sheltered conditions).
Can you apply around curves?
Absolutely. We recommend small, segmented cuts or contours that match your hull shape for the cleanest look.
Will adhesive damage the hull?
No, as long as it is removed carefully with heat and low-stretch motion, high-quality marine vinyl typically comes off clean. If concerned, opt for the removable adhesive version.
Do I need lamination?
Lamination adds UV protection and scratch resistance—and we can do that on request. Many customers choose gloss lamination for brightness and added durability in harsh sea conditions.
