Eco-friendly Custom rPET Fabric Wristbands are a type of event wristbands made from 100% recycled post-consumer PET fabric, such as plastic bottles.
They are durable, water-resistant, and comfortable to wear.
They are ideal for identification and security purposes at events and venues of all kinds, such as concerts, festivals, parties, clubs, bars, hotels, hospitals, and more. Eco-friendly rPET Fabric Wristbands can make your event more sustainable by:

The difference between these types of bands isn’t stark at first glance. All of our Fabric Wristbands share the same silhouette with the same varying security lock options. The difference is in the details of the fabric.
Our recycled Fabric differs from other types of fabric wristbands in the following ways:
- rPET Fabric is more eco-friendly than Woven Polyester or Smooth Polyester, as it uses recycled plastic bottles as its source of PET, reducing the amount of plastic waste and energy consumption in the manufacturing process.
- AAC’s Recycled Fabric is more durable and elastic than Bamboo, as it has a stretchy and resilient texture that can withstand vigorous activities and weather conditions.
- Our Recycled Fabric is more customizable than Bamboo, as it can be dyed to any desired color and knitted into various styles and patterns.
Custom rPET Fabric Wristbands are a sustainable and versatile choice for fabric wristbands, as it offers the same advantages of virgin polyester while minimizing the environmental impact.
Slide Locks are the plastic clasps that secure fabric wristbands to your wrist. They have teeth inside that grip the fabric and prevent it from sliding back. The teeth only point one way, like the tire spikes in a carpark that puncture your tires if you try to reverse over them. This means you can only tighten the wristband, not loosen it, unless you cut or break it.
We have four different types of slide locks for our Custom RPET Fabric Wristbands:
Non-security: A plastic bead that allows you to adjust and remove the wristband easily. Ideal for multi-day events with low security needs.
Bamboo: The same bead as non-security but with a bamboo look. Same as non-security, bt with a visual that alludes to sustainability. Obviously pairs best with our bamboo wristbands
Medium security: An oval plastic lock with 8 teeth that grip the fabric and prevent it from sliding back. Once tightened, the wristband cannot be removed without cutting. Suitable for events that require moderate security and durability.
High security: A cylinder plastic lock with 16 teeth that offer extra protection from tampering. The most secure and reliable lock available. Perfect for high-security events and peace of mind.
At a very minor cost difference of just 5 cents, we often recommend events that are security minded spring for the high security fastener, even if the medium security would usually be sufficient. Depending on the size of the event, preventing just one person from entering without ticket purchase can easily justify the extra cost of the wristbands.
To illustrate: let’s say you’re hosting a concert:
Tickets are $100 and 2000 people are attending. High security costs an extra 5 cents per band, so for 2000 patrons that’s an extra $100 to the cost of your event.
So then, if having a high security band prevents just one extra person from entering, you’ve made up the cost with just that one extra $100 ticket purchase.
You can customize eco-friendly rPET Fabric Wristbands with your own logo, text, image, barcode, QR code, or other information. You can either upload your own artwork or use our online Product Design tool to create your own design.
It’s easy to choose from our pre-designed templates and fonts. Our Product Design Tool can customize the front and back of the wristbands, as well as the adhesive tab. Just simply select the base colour, and let your creativity take shape from there.
